First Sleds! What was yours?

What was your guys' first sleds? How long did you have it? How many miles did you put on it? My first sled is my current sled, '98 ZR 600. I did drive my dad's '93 EXT for a few years. So far I've put on probably 120 miles just meeting and riding with friends around town and one 50 miles trip with my dad on the trail. That's pretty good for not having much snow since we picked it up in Novemeber. Let's hear what you had. I have to get on the ball and get some action shots of me on my sled. EDIT: Finally got some pics on snow, so here they are......

Well my first sled was a 1999 Polaris XC SP 500 back in 2000.  I put on about 700 miles my first year of riding it and ended up colliding with a tree @ 55 mph and fixed it to sell it.

From then on , I've owned a few race sleds including a 2000 Ski Doo Mxzx 440, 2002 Ski Doo Mxzx Mod sled ( 700 mod motor) , 2003 Rev 440, another 2003 Rev 440, 2004 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 440, 2005 Polaris IQ 440, and my current sled the 07' Rev 440....

I'm really worried now, I think I might sell my sled and get a DOO. Just one question comes to mind.......how bad to you need to treat a sled to have it blow up twice on one year?

Hey ZR,
My first sled was a 1980 Ski-Doo Citation SS.. I literally jumped that sled to death..Boy did I have fun on that piece of crap though!! And man did we have snow back then!!
My first sled I bought myself was a 20002 ZR 500 CCE..I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY hated that sled..Worst $6800 I ever spent!! I should have been on a 440.
The first sled I ever really wanted and I mean WANTED was the 98 ZR 600 EFI..Boy was that a revolutionary sled in its time!

Yeah well TRUTH I hate to tell ya those sleds sucked.  I owned one and blew it twince in the same winter due to the faulty EFI on the thing.  I knew a bunch of those sleds that were having similar problems. To this day because of that sled i am doo through and through!!!!

did u not figure out the problem the first time that u blew it up? i think that its funny when some one blows there sled up and then doesnt fix the problem that caused it to blow up in the first place then they go and blow it up again. u dont think that skidoos blow up too? my first sled was a 98 zr 600 efi and i had 3800 trouble free miles.

Haha that would be a bitch if you got a scarf caught in the clutch. I'd hate to see the result of that.

What kind of sled do you have now George?
