Wrecks, crashes, bad stuff

Have any of you crashed or wrecked your sleds? The only "crash" I've been in was last weekend when my dad and I were on a local lake. I told my dad I was going to open 'er up alittle bit. So my dad sits off the the side while I procede to open it up. I was going 85 with the flipper to the bars. I was fine for alittle while until I hit an ice heave. Wide open I hit it. It really doesn't make much sense to me now that I think about it. It really wasn't that big the other times I'd gone over it but this section was 1 1/2 feet high. I could've easily stayed on the sled if I was sitting down like I was most of the way there but for some dumb reason I stood up just at the moment I was going to hit it. So I hit it and I'm doing a superman while the sled is in the air. I know I'll hit the sled hard and there is 4 inches of snow so why not jump pull myself off the the side and roll 7 times on the ice snapping my MX helment's visor and getting the wind knocked out of me? That's what happened. The sled went onother 100 yards just coasting. I just laid there for a few second going Holy Sh*T what just happened. A tether is getting installed soon and a replacement visor. Luckily the sled wasn't damaged. No more opening up sleds without checking what the ice is like from now on. Everyone be careful
