My Thoughts: Overall Saturday was a good day of racing. The track conditions were fair with lots of ruts, woops, and cavities, but of course that makes for a more exciting racing situation.
In the pro rankings Mathieu Morin (#27 Warnert Racing) was the stand out racer for the day with 1st and 2nd place finishes in both the stock and open classes. He seemed to grab each one of the holeshots and ran the races very smooth. He ran away from the pack in the stock class and finished nearly 3 seconds ahead of the pack. In the Open class for Saturday Morin (#27 Warnert Racing) once again grabbed the early lead and led the race until Ryan Simons (#67 Team Arctic Cat) was able to chase him down and pass him on the last lap to take the win.
Levi LaVallee (#108 Hentges Racing) was able to come from dead last in the Pro stock class up to 2nd position. He ran some of the fastest lap times of the weekend and ended that race with a giant heel-clicker over the US Air Force finish line.
The semi -pro classes were very interested to watch as in both the Stock and Open classes they fought it out til the end and Katejun Koonishish (#101 Warnert Racing) aboard his Ski-Doo was able to dominate the stock class riding smooth and fast. In the Semi Pro Open class finished up on Sunday afternoon, Chris Kafka (#991 Hentges Racing) was able to pull out the late win in his class to take the win. Hentges was repeatidly on the podium this weekend, and I can't say enough about there program.
Stand out Riders of the Weekend:
Mathieu Morin -Warnert XPS #27 Katejun Koonishish- Warnert Dootalk #101 Ryan Simons- Team Arctic Cat #67 Levi LaVallee- Hentges Racing #108 Mike Schultz- Avalanche Racing #5 Bobby LaPage- Hentges Racing #244
