Hybred Quads?

What are considered hybred quads? Just highly modified quads?

                                  Thanks

Wouldn't it be like putting a banshee engine in a yfz 450 chassis or something like that where it really isn't just one quad.

the Term "hybrid" usually refers to an aftermarket 250r style chassis that houses a motor from an MX bike..If you can find one that was done well, it would be a wicked machine, but you will find lots of cobbled jobs...Not to mention, bike trannies weren't designed to handle the stresses that a quad puts out..
