Dynamo Joe S4-X 440 Clutch kit setup:

TRAIL SETUP
===========
S4X Primary spring 250/460 or 280/450
S4X helix
S4X CPC Blue/white Acat secondary spring.
4-A @ 18 lbs
**Please do pretension test with scale as some holes are not phased correctly to provide 18 lbs.***
Please double check pretension with an accurate scale.
*USE STOCK ARMS - NOT LIGHT/COMPOSITE ARMS*
*USE STOCK ROLLER SIZE*
*ONLY CALIBRATE WITH OEM CLICKERS UNTIL THE KIT RUNS SATISFACTORY*...then if needed can change to aftermarket clickers.

17 grams for start [You adjust amount of flyweight setscrews for your personal sled requirements]

Clicker choice: Start with clicker 5.
Out of the kits so far the feedback has been owners using clicker #4 or #5 depending on their driving conditions. Some like #5 for rougher extreme bump trail or powder riding. Most like #4 for flat rolling trails where the bumps are not too extreme and speeds are high.
If you find a clicker you like and the engine happens to pull off peak at top speeds, just pull out 1/2 gram of setscrew. Your flyweight will be good for peak rpms thru the shift range.

[Set pretension accordingly to your driving area]
Minimum 18 lbs is 4-A on most 440 formula roller secondary.
Next higher pretension is 4-B, then 3-C

Notes:
IF - You get a bog off the bottom end when you initially press the throttle
THEN - Check belt deflection and adjust, closing secondary up so when the sled is lifted off the ground and engine at idle, the track moves freely, OR, track jerks moving
slowly, OR can grab a paddle with your index finger and pull the track around.

or

THEN - With another weight scale, confirm pretension value of minimum 18 lbs.

or

THEN - With carburetor airscrew at stock position; Increase pilot jet size by 5 to 10 sizes. Example bog at 25 pilot, then replace with 30 or 35 pilot jet.

Make sure rollers are in premium shape with no dents or flats.
Make sure secondary assembly snap ring is installed with the small hole side of the snap ring plier holes - the small hole(s) side is facing up. Look closely at your secondary larger holes "small hole side up" or the snap ring shaft hole taper will wear into the ring groove on the secondary clutch and eventually cause enough wear that the shim thickness is not adequate enough for the roller to stay away from the top of the helix. The roller will eventually dent.
***Use stock skidoo 8607 belt*** Other belts will reveal low rpms and be detrimental to consistent rpm operation.

Hey All,
I have this kit on my 03' REV and want to note, if you are installing this kit, these are just suggestions..How your machine is set up and the way you ride will determine final settings. These are a good starting point, but don't be scared to try out different settings..PM me if you have any questions as DJ is hard to understand sometimes!! This kit will turn your mild mannered 03 440 into a fire breathing beast!! Tune it well and you won't be sorry!! Frank.
